Verkhnekamsk Potash Company Expands Cooperation with Perm Suppliers

VPC delegation headed by the Company’s CEO Alexander Pupov visited four enterprises in Perm Krai to discuss cooperation prospects.

VPC, a member of Acron Group, continues the construction of the Talitsky mine at the Verkhnekamsk potassium and magnesium salt deposit. Under the Road Map to establish ties with industrial enterprises, Regional Engineering Centre regularly organises meetings to introduce local manufacturers to the Company.

At the working meetings, Digital Wave presented a machine-vision technology for bulk materials management system and video analytics system for detecting cable and conveyor belt failures. VIPAKS, the developer and manufacturer of intelligent video surveillance systems, demonstrated its new industrial video monitoring systems and video analytics modules using neural networks. Engineering and design company Adsorber discussed with VPC the supply of water-treatment systems, including water-treatment plants of various capacity. Experimental development company ELKACABLE presented new cable products containing a unique aluminium alloy resistant to heat and corrosion.

Dmitry Stepanchenko, VPC Head of Procurement Department, welcomed cooperation with local businesses, ‘We were familiar with some of the companies; but even with them, we have discovered new opportunities for cooperation on the technology we have been discussing. We will consider the results of the meetings to make a decision regarding pilot testing of the products’.

Regional Engineering Centre announced that an action plan to promote cooperation would be developed and integrated into the Road Map based on the meetings’ outcome.
