First Cubic Meter of Concrete Poured at the Talitsky Mine
Acron Vice President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Verkhnekamsk Potash Company (VPC) Sergey Fedorov visited the Talistsky MPC construction site in Perm Krai, where VPC is creating a potash raw material base at the Talitsky area of the Verkhnekamsk potassium-magnesium salt deposit. On October 12, the first cubic meter of concrete was poured at the base of a shaft mouth. While Acron is primarily concerned with commissioning the Oleniy Ruchey MPC (its phosphate project in the Murmansk region), full-scale preparation work at the Talitsky deposit is underway.

One of the meetings Fedorov took part in was called to discuss the construction plan developed by FGUP US-30. Currently, the Company is preparing the site for construction of shafts, building access roads, removing topsoil and replacing soft soil, and preparing concrete bedding for construction of a shaft with cage winding.

Selecting a subcontractor to drill freezing boreholes is another difficult but important task. Representatives of ANGER, a German company with a lot of experience in this field, made a presentation. After considering all the received proposals, FGUP US-30 will choose a subcontractor for the project.
At the meeting with VPC engineers and technicians, Fedorov discussed progress at the Talitsky MPC, including power and water supply issues and review of development documentation for construction of vertical mine shafts. VPC is adhering to the work schedule. The Company is purchasing construction equipment (five dump trucks, two mixers, a mobile workshop and loader have already been acquired) and preparing the site for the future construction. The preparation includes forest clearing, completing the vertical layout and building a temporary road for traffic of personnel and equipment. VPC finished reconstruction of a railroad crossing near the settlement of Zheleznodorozhny, making it modern and safe to use. The Company is looking for a deposit of sand and gravel mix and has already purchased a concrete mixer. Soon it will be delivered to the site and installed at the permanent location. VPC continues recruiting necessary specialists and workers. On its new website, VPC informs the community about vacancies and the Company's activities.

VPC will be re-registered in Berezniki and will undergo organizational changes and movements of personnel.

During a conference call with the general designer Belgorkhimprom, the companies agreed that the general designer will have a representative on-site at all times for field supervision and fast decision-making.

All the recent meetings were focused on following the schedule and increasing construction productivity and quality.

The same day, on behalf of Acron, Fedorov congratulated the Scientific and Design Institute Gallurgiya on its 40th anniversary. Gallurgiya is responsible for supplementary reconnaissance of the Talitsky deposit.
