    Closed Joint Stock Company Verkhnekamsk Potash Company obtained a construction permit for vertical mine shafts based on the positive opinion of the state expert review board on the first stage of mine construction at the Talitsky area of Verkhnekamsk potassium-magnesium salt deposit.

    The VPC Board of Directors appointed Alexander Pupov as the company's Chief Executive Officer.

    The Federal Mining Inspectorate (Rostekhnadzor) approved the Guidelines for Mine Flood Control and Protection of Mine Facilities at the Talitsky area of the VPMSD (process regulations).
    Public hearings were held on the terms of reference for design of a section of assessment of the mine construction the environmental impact at the Talitsky area of VPMSD.

    The Russian Federation State Reserves Committee (Rosnedra) has approved the results of a mineral survey completed by VPC in accordance with the terms and conditions for subsoil use in 2009-2011 at the Talitsky area of VPMSD. As a result of revaluation completed, salts balance reserves were increased by 6.63% and reached 726.1 million tonnes.  
    The Regional Reserves Committee Permnedra approved water reserves for service and technical water supply of the Talitsky mine. Detailed design for building of vertical shafts was completed.

    Belgorkhimprom (Minsk, Belarus) held a joint meeting of general design contractor and VPC specialists engaged in designing of the Talitsky mine.

    The feasibility study of final conditions and potash deposit calculation for the Talitsky area of the VPMSD was submitted to the State Reserves Committee for approval. Initial conditions were developed and technical specifications received for construction of vertical mine shafts and the rotation camp.
